Manager's Message
Dear Owner/Guest,
We wanted to make you aware that some of the stairways at Tortuga Beach Club will soon be undergoing
reconstruction and repairs. We will be replacing treads on the wooden stairs in the beachside stairways of
buildings A, B & C (Units 101 – 124). The Maintenance Week schedule is as follows:
Week 35, August 27 – September 3, 2010 – Units 101-108
Week 36, September 3-10, 2010 – Units 109-116
Week 37, September 10-17, 2010 – Units 117-124
During these periods, some sawing and drilling will be taking place to remove the existing treads and
reconstruct the stairs as necessary. Construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the property, and
a dumpster will be onsite throughout the project. We will try to keep the noise to a minimum, but there
could be intermittent times when the noise level may rise.
As this is a tight construction schedule, we kindly ask those of you who may be staying in one of these
units prior to its Maintenance Week, to notify the office if you plan to depart before 10:00am on Friday.
This will help to ensure we get the earliest start possible in order to expedite the project.
We apologize for any inconvenience these repairs may cause during this time.

Tribute to a Dear Friend and Colleague
All of us here at Tortuga Beach Club, as well as many Owners, guests and local resort staff, are deeply
saddened by the recent loss of our dear friend and longtime colleague, Milli Jones. Please click here to

Golf Course Summer Outlook
Throughout the 2010 Summer season, please be aware that the golf course will be closed a periodically to
aerify the greens and complete routine maintenance. Although the golf course is closed to the public, Tortuga
Beach Club and Hurricane House Owners and Guests may play at alternate facilities for a discounted rate.
This summer, arrangements have been made at the following courses:
Beachview: $25.00 + tax includes cart
Shell Point: $31.00 + tax includes cart
These special discounts may be enjoyed at the Beachview and Shell Point golf courses during these dates:
June 8-10
July 13-15
August 10-12
September 7-9
If you would like to play either or both of these courses, please call The Dunes at 239-472-2535 and request
tee times. Please do not call the golf courses directly, as they will not be able to honor the special discount
unless tee times are arranged through The Dunes.
Please be aware that although the golf course will be closed on select dates, The Dunes Golf Shop and Practice
Facility will remain open from 7:00am – 3:00pm daily. You are welcome to hit balls, make tee times or shop for
Dunes merchandise.

This winter, some construction projects will be taking place at Tortuga Beach Club as we remodel the bathrooms
in buildings F and G (units 141-156).
The maintenance week schedule will be as follows:
Week 50, December 10 – 17, 2010
