Manager's Message – January 2010
Dear Owners,
It is my pleasure to announce that a quorum was established for the Special Meeting held on January 4, 2010. All three issues put to a vote were passed: the board was expanded to five seats, board terms were increased to two years, and the quorum was reduced to 50 and one-tenth percent of the ownership.
Meanwhile, the air-conditioning replacement project is under way and will be completed by the end of February. New 16-SEER systems are being installed and will be much more energy efficient than the previous systems. In an earlier message I wrote about our need to upgrade the pool/spa equipment to meet the newest health department codes. This project is scheduled for mid-July and will require the closure of the spa for 6-9 weeks.
In your Annual Owners Meeting packet being mailed April 7, 2010, you will find information and directions to cast your vote online. You will also have the option to “opt in” to receive other association mailings by email. We look forward to an outstanding response!
With mixed emotions, I must announce the retirement of Andy Cruiel. Andy has worked in our maintenance department for 23 years and will be greatly missed. Andy’s last day will be February 28, 2010. He is looking forward to spending time with his grandkids and fishing. We appreciate all his years of service and wish him a happy retirement!
