Manager's Message - Winter 2012

Dear Sanibel Cottages Owners,

It has been a productive year for the resort! I think you will be pleased with the wonderful upgrades and changes. Below is a list of all the fantastic projects that the Sanibel Cottages Board of Directors and staff have completed in 2011, and upcoming projects for 2012.

Completed Projects 2011:
1) Wood repair/replacement on all buildings using a General Contractor with a lift (all lower wood repairs are completed/being completed by in-house resort staff)
2) Wood repair/replacement to Building 5 (elevator building) beach side stairwell
3) Replacement of all hot water heaters and valves
4) Replacement of two grill area grills; the other five areas to be completed in 2012
5) Master bathroom refurbishment:
a. Raised cabinets/countertops (36")
b. Raised, comfort-height toilets
c. New tile throughout (floors, shower, etc.)
d. New soaking tubs
e. Rain shower heads and hand-held shower wand
f. Seat in the shower
g. New mirrors and vanity lights
h. New paint - trowel finish
i. Plantation shutters in units 109-128
6) Installation of gravity tank for spa (VGB Act) and repairs to spa jets

2012 Projects:
1) Paver installation throughout driveway and parking areas, as well as walkway around the pond (May/June)
2) Resurfacing of tennis courts and shuffleboard court (June/July)
3) New pool furniture
4) New carpet
5) New master and guest bedroom light, fitted throws, bed skirts, Euro pillows, artwork and lamps
